Description
Another offshore Guyana discovery was announced by Exxon Mobil at #3-Longtail in the Stabroek Block. The well hit 230 ft of net pay, including newly identified, high quality, hydrocarbon-bearing reservoirs below the original #1-Longtail discovery intervals. Area water depth is 6,100 ft. In other drilling activity in the block, an evaluation well at #2-Mako confirmed the quality, thickness and areal extent of the reservoir. Irving, Texas-based Exxon Mobil holds 45% interest in the Stabroek Block with Hess, (30%) and China National Offshore Oil Corp. (25%).
