A development test has been scheduled by Fieldwood Energy in Mississippi Canyon Block 519, an oil-producing tract acquired in 2018 from Noble Energy. The #3 OCS G27278 will be in the southeastern portion of Block 519 and area water depth is 6,600 ft. Noble Energy drilled two wells on Block 519, with first production reported in 2012 from Upper Miocene at 18,247-18,823 ft and 18,582-18,640 ft. Combined production from the wells is 42 MMbbl of crude and 43 Bcf of gas.
