Drilling Activity Summary
Description
At the #6-Warro discovery in Warro Field, Transerv Energy reported that the well has achieved a sustained gas flow following reservoir stimulation. At the nearby #5-Warro, the first stimulation stage was intentionally small to provide calibration information for larger stages. At #6-Warro, only the deeper half of the gross reservoir section was targeted by three-stage stimulation. Initial flowback operations began at #6-Warro, which returned a substantial portion of the stimulation fluids. Warro Field is in Blocks EP407 and EP321 in Western Australia and is Australia's largest undeveloped onshore gasfield with resources of 11.6 Tcf of gas in place. Perth-based Transerv is the operator of Blocks EP407 and EP321 and the Warro Field with 35% interest in partnership with Alcoa of Australia with the remaining 65%.
