Australia Worldwide Exploration, operator of Production Licenses L1/L2 in the onshore Perth Basin, Western Australia, announced results from a flow test at #2-Waitsia, the second appraisal well in the program. A Kingia Sandstone zone (3,173-3,215 m) flowed 38.7 MMcf of gas per day. It was tested on an 80/64-in. choke with a flowing wellhead pressure of 1,315 psi. The venture has been shut in for a brief pressure build-up survey prior to a series of flow tests at various choke settings, rates and well head pressures. After #2-Waitsia, the Sydney-based company will perform a flow test at #4-Waitsia. The joint venture partners in L1/L2 are Sydney-based Australia Worldwide, 50.0% and Origin Energy, 50.0%.
