Drilling Activity Summary

Description

At South Australia's Inland-Cook oil fairway on the PEL91 permit, Drillsearch Energy has reported a new oil discovery at exploration well #2-Kalladeina. Operator Beach Energy Ltd. reported that wireline logs confirmed a McKinlay-Namur oil pay zone and encountered a net four-meter oil column in McKinlay Sandstone, contiguous with a net oil column of one meter in Namur Sandstone. A drillstem test over the McKinlay interval produced the equivalent of 986 bbl. per day of oil with no associated water. According to Drillsearch, the recoverable 2P oil reserves could be 400,000 bbl. based upon the McKinlay and Namur oil pay intervals. The discovery has been cased and suspended as a new oil discovery and future oil producer. The second well in the four-well program, #1-Smoky, will be spudded in mid-2013. Beach is the operator of PEL91 and #2-Kalladeina with 40% interest in partnership with Drillsearch holding the remaining 60%.
