FX Energy is under way at exploration well #1-Gorka Duchownaxploration in Poland's Block 246 on the company's Fences Concession. The well is a planned test of Main Dolomite and Carboniferous horizons and the projected depth is 2,700 meters. The venture in the northwest quadrant of the 240,000-acre Block 246 concession, which is near the Bronsko and Koscian fields, that is estimated to hold about 1 trillion cu. ft. of gas from reservoirs in several horizons including Rotliegend and lower Zechstein. According to London-based company, drilling is scheduled to begin at #2-Lisewo and #1-Szymanowice. Both wells are in the Lisewo area of the Fences Concession, where Polskie Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo is the operator with 51% interest and FX holds the remaining 49%.
