Description

FX Energy, based in London, has scheduled five 2014 exploration wells on its operated Edges license and the PGNiG-operated Fences license in Poland. Two of the wells are set for August, one in September, and two during the fourth quarter. The company acquired and processed 240 sq km of new 3D seismic in the northern part of the Tuchola Block and has identified a several promising locations, of which two will be selected for drilling in 2014. The Edge license, which covers approximately 730,000 acres, is owned and operated by FX with 100% interest. PGNiG is preparing to drill #1-Baraniec in the Lisewo area and #1-Karmin on the southern border of the Fences license and is scouting locations for #1-Przybyslaw in the Lisewo area and a first location in the Miloslaw area. PGNiG expects to drill one of these two wells late 2014 and also expects to complete the #3-Zaniemysl to a higher downhole location. PGNiG is the operator of the 850,000-acre Fences license with 51% interest in partnership with FX, holding the remaining 49%.
