Description
According to IHS Markit, Cholla Petroleum has extended Garden City South Field with a completion in a lightly drilled portion of southwestern Fisher County (RRC Dist. 7B), Texas. The Dallas-based operator's #1 Empire Builder was tested pumping 50 bbl of 40° API oil and 38 bbl of water per day from a fracture-treated, horizontal sidetrack at 7,307-11,392 ft. The Wolfcamp well was drilled to 11,470 ft and is in Section 20, Block Y, T&P RR Co Survey, A-529. The 320-acre lease is on the Eastern Shelf of the Permian Basin. The true vertical depth is 6,990 ft and the lateral bottomed about 1 mile to the north-northwest. The initial vertical hole was abandoned at 7,132 ft in late 2018.
