Description
MOL has made a new gas and condensate discovery in the TAL block in Pakistan’s Kohat District. The exploratory test, #1-Mamikhel South, was drilled to 4,939 m. It was tested flowing gas and condensate from Lockhart and Hangu and a daily rate of 6,516 bbl of oil equivalent (16.12 MMcf of gas and 3,240 bbl of condensate). Gauged on a 32/64-inch choke, the flowing wellhead pressure was 4,476 psi. Additional well testing is ongoing. MOL is the operator and joint venture partners include Oil & Gas Development; Pakistan Petroleum Ltd.; Pakistan Oilfield Ltd. and Government Holdings Private Ltd. MOL is based in Budapest.
