Description
In Australia’s Northern Territory, Central Petroleum reported a gas discovery at appraisal well #13 Palm Valley in the Amadeus Basin. It was tested flowing 13.6 MMcf from natural fractures in Pacoota Sandstone during testing on a 3.5-in. choke. No water or oil was reported. The Palm Valley Field gas field well is in License 3 and production is from a zone between 1,845 and 2,020 m. The venture was drilled to a planned true vertical depth of 1,913 m. The Brisbane-based company is drilling ahead to a planned depth of 3,471 m, 2,200 m true vertical. Central Petroleum is the operator and 100% owner of the Palm Valley gas field.
