Description

A Texas State waters wildcat has been staked by Houston-based Hall-Houston Exploration IV. The 7,500-ft. well is offshore Galveston County (RRC Dist. 3). The #1 State Tract 187-L will be directionally drilled in Galveston Block 214-L and is expected to bottom to the northwest beneath Galveston Block 187-L. Nearby gas production in the area is at a 6,151-ft. oil well in Galveston Block 186-L - in its first 14 months online, Hall-Houston's #1 State Tract 186-L has produced 317,235 bbl. of oil and 503.3 million cu. ft. of casinghead gas from Robulus at 5,907-34 ft.
