Description
IHS Markit reported that Comstock Resources has completed the third-strongest well drilled to date in the Haynesville Shale play. Located in Bossier Parish, La., #1-Alt George Mills 1-12HC was tested flowing 45.244 MMcf of gas per day from acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 12,097-21,894 ft. Tested on a 36/64-in. choke, the flowing casing pressure was 7,411 psi. The Swan Lake Field well is in Section 36-16n-11w and bottomed about 2 miles to the south in Section 12-15n-11w. The horizontal well was drilled to 21,934 ft (11,761 ft true vertical).
