At a development test in Wheeler County (RRC Dist. 10), Texas, Samson Resources reported an initial flow of 2,113 bbl. of 46-degree-gravity oil, 5.52 million cu. ft. of gas and 209 bbl. of water per day. The Mills Ranch Field well, #5H Davis 64 SL, is in Section 64, Block A-7, H&GN Survey, A-8394. The venture was tested on a 36/64-in. choke with a shut-in tubing pressure of 2,000 psi and a flowing tubing pressure of 1,867 psi. The well produces from a fracture-stimulated horizontal interval of the Hogshooter (Missouri) Granite Wash at 11,566-16,212 ft. after drilling to 16,330 ft., 11,579 ft. true vertical. Samson is based in Tulsa.
