Description
According to IHS Markit, Houston-based Marathon Oil Co. has completed two horizontal Bakken/Three Forks producers from a pad on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in Mountrail County, N.D. The wells were drilled in Section 2-151-93w. The #11-2TFHEstenson-USA initially flowed 1.414 Mbbl of oil, 1.553 MMcf of gas and 3.568 Mbbl of water per day from Upper Three Forks. It was drilled to the south to 20,771 ft, 10,643 ft true vertical and bottomed in Section 11 and tested on a 64/64-in. choke with a flowing casing of 485 psi. The #11-2H Tommerdahl-USA initially flowed 5.53 Mbbl of oil, 4.483 MMcf of gas and 4.549 Mbbl of water from Middle Bakken. It was drilled to the south to 20,662 ft and the true vertical depth is 10,553 ft and also bottomed in Section 11. Gauged on a 64/64-in. choke the flowing casing pressure was 1,125 psi.
