Tanos Exploration II is planning to drill a horizontal Cotton Valley test in Rusk County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas. Located in Brachfield Southeast Field, #5H Kangerga Gas Unit No. 1 has a planned true vertical depth of 10,851 ft. It will be on a 327.2-acre lease in John Ferguson Survey, A-301 and will bottom to the south in Susan Jeffers Survey, A-459. Tanos operates more than 60 active wells in Brachfield Southeast Field. A vertical Cotton Valley gas well offsets the planned bottomhole of #5H Kangerga Gas Unit 1: #4 Kangerga Gas Unit No. 1 flowed 2.2 MMcf of gas, 15 bbl of 44-degree-gravity crude and 641 bbl of water per day from perforations at 9,895-10,752 ft. Tanos' headquarters are in Tyler, Texas.
