Description

Jabsco Oil Operating LLC has set production casing at a Pickens County, Ala., wildcat drilled as part of the company’s Black Warrior Basin program in western Alabama. The #1 Gulf States Paper Co 28-6 was re-entered to 4,041 ft with 4 1/2-in. casing set on bottom. It has been perforated in Pottsville A at 3,803-27 ft with no other details reported. The original hole was drilled in 1985 in Section 28-18s-13w, and the exploratory test was abandoned at 4,910 ft in the Tuscumbia. Nearby gas production is within 3 miles to the south-southwest of Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based Jabsco’s workover at #1 Irvin 5-6. The well was tested in 2009 flowing 273 Mcf of gas daily from Lewis Sand at 5,216-32 ft.
