BP Operating Co. completed the western-most horizontal well to date in Lard Ranch Field in Roberts County (RRC Dist. 1), Texas. The #1801H Mesa Vista 18 is in Section 18, Block C, G&M Survey, A-475. It was tested on gas lift flowing 138 bbl of 44-degree-gravity oil, 363 Mcf of gas and 411 bbl of water per day. Production is from fracture-stimulated perforations in Des Moines Granite Wash C at 8,656-12,779 ft and an open-hole section at 12,779-12,800 ft. The true vertical depth is 8,242 ft and it bottomed about 1 mile to the north in Section 15, Block 46, H&TC Survey, A-212. BP Operating is based in Dallas.
