Drilling Activity Summary
Description
LLOG Exploration announced results from three recent Louisiana state waters completions in offshore Plaquemines Parish. The #1 State Lease 00195 QQ flowed 101 bbl of 30-degree-gravity oil and 501 Mcf of gas per day from Miocene perforations at 7,814-18 ft. It was drilled to 8,100 ft and is in Black Bay East Field. Gauged on an 18/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 2,371 psi and the shut-in tubing pressure was 2,699 psi. About one-half mile to the northwest, #3 State Lease 00195 QQ was tested in January flowing 360 bbl of oil and 2 Mcf of gas per day from Miocene at 8,596-8,606 ft. The directional well was drilled to 8,915 ft, 8,054 ft true vertical, and bottomed one-half mile to the south. The surface location is on irregular Main Pass Block 23. To the west, #2 State Lease 00195 QQ, also tested in late January, flowed 8 bbl of 26.9-degree-gravity oil and 113 Mcf of gas per day from Miocene perforations at 6,878-84 ft. Tested on a 10/64-in. choke, the flowing tubing pressure was 2,000 psi. The Black Bay East Field well reached a total depth of 7,555 ft. LLOG is based in Covington, La.
