Drilling Activity Summary
Description
According to a Cooper Energy reassessment of the offshore Victoria's Manta Field in the Gippsland Basin, permits VIC/L26 and VIC/L27 holds a potential contingent resource of 13.9 MMboe. The new assessment is a 22% increase from the August 2014 figures. Cooper and partner Beach Energy are planning an appraisal well, #3-Manta. In 2010, 11 wells had been drilled in the Basker Manta Gummy Field, producing 8.6 MMboe of and gas liquids and 26.9 Bcf of gas. Revised plans indicate that Brisbane-based Cooper would drill one relatively low-risk appraisal well, which could be retained for future production and one sub-sequent development well.
