Fort Worth-based Range Resources reported results from a Marcellus Shale discovery in Pennsylvania’s Washington County, Pa. The Mehaffy Field venture, #2H Linville Wilson 12692 Unit, is in Section 5, Middletown 7.5 Quad, Donegal Township. It was tested flowing 18.87 MMcf of gas from perforations between 7,095 and 17,368 ft with a shut-in casing pressure of 1,300 psi. The well was drilled to a total depth of 17,446 ft and a true vertical depth of 6,452 ft.
