Chesapeake Operating Inc. completed an Anadarko Basin horizontal in Wheeler County (RRC Dist 10), Texas. The #406H Thurman Horn SL is in Section 1, Camp CSL Survey, A-25 and averaged 5,400 bbl. of oil, 1,200 bbl. of natural gas liquids and 4.6 million cu. ft. of gas per day during its first eight days of stabilized production. The Mills Ranch well was completed in a 4,900-ft. lateral in Hogshooter (Missouri) Granite Wash and was drilled northward to a projected depth of 14,000 ft., 10,000 ft. true vertical. The venture is in an area of horizontal wells that produce from older Des Moines-aged Granite Wash zones.
