Description
A 14,750-ft Cotton Valley test has been scheduled in Jackson Parish, La., by MRD Operating LLC. The #1 Davis Bros. 27 will be vertically drilled in Section 27-17n-2w in Kelleys Field. Nearby production is to the south at a 2006 well, #1 Harris, which was drilled by Clayton Williams Energy Inc. The discovery was tested flowing 1.3 MMcf of gas and 538 bbl of condensate per day from perforations at 11,644-12,285 ft. The 14,500-ft well was online for 18 months and produced 39 MMcf of gas. Kelleys Field was opened in 1963. MRD Operating is based in Dallas.
