In Union County, Ky., CountryMark Energy Resources has scheduled a 5,000-ft. test. The Evansville, Ind.-based operator's #7-1-3T Geiger Minerals LLC & Bill S. Geogh LLC will be vertically drilled in Section 1-n-21e. The venture is targeting oil in the New Albany shale - if successfully completed the well would be placed in Dixie West Consolidated Field. The field has historically produced from shallower pays in the Pennsylvanian and Mississippian. Offsetting the company's new location is a 2,808-ft. test that was abandoned in 1966.
