Drilling Activity Summary

Description

According to Australia Worldwide Exploration, Waitsia Field in Perth Basin permit area L1/L2 has the potential to be one of Western Australia's largest onshore conventional gas discoveries since the 1960s. Wireline log and pressure data from appraisal well #1-Waitsia encountered a 95-m gross gas column across three conventional reservoir intervals. The #1-Waitsia was drilled to 3,507 m with targets in Kingia, High Cliff and Dongara sandstones. Gas shows were also observed in Irwin River Coal Measures and Carynginia Shale. Conventional net gas pay for #1-Waitsia is interpreted to be 18 m. The data supports the previously reported gross 2C contingent resource estimate of 290 Bcf of gas for Waitsia Field. Additional testing is planned and #1-Waitsia will be suspended as a future producer. In addition, the Perth-based company has estimated gross 2C contingent resources of 70 Bcf in the Senecio tight gas field and an initial estimate of 149 Bcf in the Irwin/Synaphea tight gas structures. Australia Worldwide is the operator of L1/L2 and Waitsia Field with 50% interest in partnership with Origin Energy Resources, which holds the remaining 50%.
