Description
Two new wildcat exploratory wells have been planned by FX Energy at the company's 100%-owned concessions in Poland. The #1-Frankowo drillsite is on the Block 246 concession in west-central Poland, with Rotliegend gas (at approximately 2,200 meters) as the target. The #3-Tuchola is in the company's Edge Concession in north-central Poland and targets Permian gas at approximately 2,100 meters and Devonian oil at about 3,150 meters. The Salt Lake City-based company is currently drilling two wells, #2-Kutno and #3-Komorze and will spud #1-Mieczewo, #2-Lisewo and #1-Lisewo-SE later in 2012. All of FX's current Polish gas production comes from Rotliegend sands in the 49% owned Fences Concession. Immediately southwest of Fences, the company holds 100% interest in the 240,000-acre Block 246. PGNiG is the operator of the well and holds 51% interest with FX holding 49% interest.
