According to IHS, EOG Resources Inc. completed a Niobrara well in Weld County, Colo., that is producing 1,831.3 bbl. of oil equivalent per day (367,000 cu. ft. of gas, 1,770 bbl. of oil). The discovery, #2-01H Jake, is the first significant producer in the new play. The Denver-Julesberg Basin well is flowing from a fractured interval at 7,591-11,185 ft. and is in Section 1-11n-63w. Additional details about the western D-J Basin flank completion are not currently available. EOG is based in Houston.
