Black Hills Plateau Production LLC completed a horizontal Niobrara/Mancos test in the Piceance Basin. According to IHS Markit, #7-23BH Homer Deep Unit initially produced 7 MMcf of gas, with 11.066 Mbbl of water gas day. The venture is in Section 7-8s-98w, of Garfield County, Colo. It was horizontally drilled to the southeast to 17,600 ft, 6,758 ft true vertical. It bottomed in Section 20-8s-98w of neighboring Mesa County. It was tested on a 28/64-in. choke following 50-stage fracturing between 7,408 and 17,361 ft, and the flowing casing pressure was 2,400 psi. Black Hills is based in Denver.
