Description
An Oil Search LLC completion of the North Slope was tested flowing at a stabilized rate of 3,520 bbl of oil per day. IHS Markit reported that #1 Stirrup was tested in a single stimulated zone. It was drilled to an estimated depth of 4,960 ft and encountered an oil column with net pay of 75 ft in Nanushuk. The wildcat discovery is in Section 8-8n-3e, Umiat Meridian. The well is southwest of the Pikka Unit development area. The well's results could help determine the viability of a stand-alone processing facility within the Horseshoe Block. Oil Search is based in Sydney.
