Description
After achieving a 1.1 MMcf/d gas flowrate after fracturing, Beach Energy has shut in exploration well #1-Geoffrey in the ATP855 permit area. The well was drilled to 4,125 m and was completed in Patchawarra. It was part of a test to evaluate the shale and basin-centered gas play in Toolachee; Daralingie; Roseneath; Epsilon, Murteree and Patchawarra intervals in the east of the permit within the Queensland portion of the Nappamerri Trough. Adelaide-based Beach is the operator of ATP855 and #1-Geoffrey with 46.9% interest in partnership with Icon, holding 35.1%, and Chevron Australia with the remaining 18%.
