Drilling Activity Summary
Description
A horizontal Pennsylvanian oil discovery has been completed on the Northwestern Shelf of the Permian Basin by Manzano LLC. The Lea County, N.M., discovery, #001H Vindicator 15 State, initially flowed 715 bbl of 43-degree-gravity crude, 804 Mcf of gas and 2.234 Mbbl of water per day. Acidized and fracture-stimulated perforations are at 12,290-17,058 ft. It was tested on a 30/64-in. choke and the flowing casing pressure was 1,050 psi. It was drilled to 17,091 ft and is in Section 15-17s-36e. The lateral bottomed about 1 mile to the south in the same section with a true vertical depth of 12,097 ft.
