Denver-based Robert L. Bayless Producer LLC has been granted a drilling permit for a horizontal Mancos test in Colorado’s Rio Blanco County. Located in partial Township 1s-104w, #23-7H2 Weaver Ridge will be drilled southwestward to 10,041 ft and will bottomed in partial Section 27 of partial Township 1s-104w with a planned true vertical depth of 5,264 ft. It will be drilled from the same drillpad as the one used for the company’s #23-7H Weaver Ridge, a horizontal Mancos producer completed in 2013, initially flowing 6 bbl of oil and 256 bbl of water per day on gas lift.
