Description
Australia Worldwide Exploration announced results from flow testing at #1-Waitsia in the Perth Basin in Western Australia. According to the Perth-based company, the discovery flowed 24.7 MMcf/d from High Cliff Sandstone, during testing on a 60/64-in. choke. The High Cliff Sandstone produced from a 23.5-m perforated interval at 3,382 m to 3,405 m. The well will be shut in for a brief pressure build-up survey before additional testing is conducted. After testing High Cliff Sandstone, a plug will be set to isolate the lower interval to test Kingia Sandstone. A similar well test program will be conducted on a 15-m interval at 3,333m to 3,348m in Kingia. Partners in L1/L2 are operator Australia Worldwide, 50% and Origin Energy, 50%.
