Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Initial results from exploration well #1-Irwin by Australian Worldwide Energy in Western Australia's Perth Basin have shown a 32 m gas column in the primary target. The 4,049 m well intersected Dongara/Wagina sandstones at 3,146 m. The Dongara/Wagina tight gas reservoir has gas/water contact interpreted at 3,085,m, the same depth found at #1-Warradong, previously drilled in the adjacent Synaphea structure. Australian Worldwide estimates gross 2C contingent resources of 15 Bcf of gas for Irwin and 134 Bcf of gas for Synaphea. The up-dip portion of the Synaphea structure, located in permit L1, has not yet been drilled. The joint venture partners in EP320 are Sydney-based Australian Worldwide, 33% and Origin Energy, 67%.
