In Bienville Parish, La., a Cotton Valley/Vaughn Sand well in Liberty Field initially flowed 4.4 million cu. ft. of gas, one bbl. of 56-degree condensate and five bbl. of water. The Houston-based Plantation Operating LLC well, #1 L.A. Minerals et al 8, was perforated at 13,319-25 ft. The producer was drilled to a total depth of 14,350 ft. in Section 8-15n-5w. On a 24/64-in. choke, flowing tubing pressure was 1,400 psi. Log tops include James Lime at 6,750 ft.; Pine Island Shale, 7,200 ft.; Sligo, 7,375 ft.; Hosston, 8,050 ft.; Bodcaw, 12,750 ft.; Vaughn, 13,050 ft.; and Davis Sand, 13,450 ft.
