Description
On the Bienville Parish side of Woodwardville Field, Questar Exploration & Production Co., Salt Lake City, completed a horizontal Haynesville shale well. The #1 Shelby Interests 31H is in Section 31-15n-9w and was tested flowing 21.74 million cu. ft. of gas, 2 bbl. of 49.8-degree condensate and 263 bbl. of water per day. The well produces through fracture-stimulated perforations at 12,909-16,671 ft. On a 26/64-in. choke, flowing casing pressure was 6,000 psi. The Questar well was drilled to a total depth of 16,945 ft. (12,539 ft., true vertical). Questar is also conducting a vertical Cotton Valley drilling program in Woodardville Field, about two miles northeast of its newest completion.
