Drilling Activity Summary
Description
North Sydney-based Real Energy Ltd. announced results from Queensland-Cooper Basin exploration and testing. The exploration wells, #1-Queenscliff and #1-Tamarama are in the ATP927 permit area. Both wells are targeting Toolachee and Patchawarra. The #1-Queenscliff was perforated and flowtested in both formations and #1-Tamarama, the upper Patchawarra section has been completed and Toolachee section will be perforated and tested in the following weeks. The #1-Queenscliff initially flowed 200 Mcf of gas per day at in interval at 3,048-3,101 m. It was tested on a 16/64-in. choke, with a flowing pressure of approximately 131 psi. The well is currently shut-in for a pressure build-up test to obtain reservoir pressure data and other relevant reservoir properties. Gas samples from preliminary field tests indicate 14% CO2, which is line with expectations. There was no formation water detected. A pressure build-up is underway at #1-Tamarama and the upper Patchawarra section has been isolated. Plans call for perforating and flowtesting the Toolachee section next. Laboratory analysis results of the gas samples from upper Patchawarra indicate the gas contains approximately 12% CO2, which is comparable to the gas in offset #2-Solitaire.
