According to IHS Markit, Savoy Energy LP has set production casing at an exploratory test as part of the company’s Trenton/Black River program Calhoun County, Mich. The #1-1A Wagley is a short-lateral horizontal venture. It was drilled to 3,900 ft with 5 1/2-in. casing set on bottom. The venture is waiting on completion tools and the wildcat was sidetracked out from an initial directional hole. The original hole was kicked off at about 1,250 ft. The well is in Section 1-4s-8w. The rig is being moved to directionally drill the Traverse City-based company’s #3-3 Replogle in Section 3-4s-8w, which has a proposed true vertical depth of 3,950 ft.
