Senex Reports Two Oil Discoveries In South Australia Portion Of Cooper Basin
Drilling Activity Details
Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Two Cooper Basin oil discoveries were reported by Senex Energy in South Australia. The #3-Dunoon is on the Dunoon Ridge in the southern Cooper Basin and targeted Murta and McKinlay. The 1,268 m well encountered oil in both formations and was cased and suspended as a future Murta oil producer. The #1-Morris is in PRL 832 and was drilled to 1,468 m to evaluate a separate four-way dip closure on the Dunoon Ridge, targeting McKinlay and Murta. The well is being cased and suspended as a future Murta producer. These results further validate the Dunoon Ridge portion of the Murta fairway, a regionally extensive tight oil system.
