Description
A Smackover wildcat in western Clarke County, Miss., has been scheduled by Shreveport, La.-based Sklar Exploration in the Pleasant Ridge Field area. The #1 Howard 12-15 will be directionally drilled to 13,500 ft in Section 12-2n-14e. This new location is 2 miles northeast of numerous wells in Pachuta Creek Field, a Smackover reservoir opened in 1968. In late 2018, Sklar opened the field with a completion about 3 miles southeast of the scheduled well at #1 Fleming 30-15 in Section 30-2n-15e. The directional discovery pumped 450 bbl of crude and 174 Mcf of gas per day from Smackover at 12,997-13,031 ft.
