Description
IHS Markit reported that Dan A. Hughes Co., based in Beeville Texas, has scheduled a Smackover exploratory test in Conecuh County, Ala. The venture is within 2.5 miles to the west of Alabama’s Little Cedar Creek Field. The #1 CCLT 29-5 will be directionally drilled to 11,000 ft in Section 29-5n-13e. It will bottom to the south-southwest. Nearby production in the field is about one-half mile to the east at Sklar Exploration’s #1 Craft-Soterra 27-2 in Section 27. It was tested in 2010 flowing 348 bbl of 47° API crude and 376,000 cu ft of gas per day from Smackover perforations at 10,866-10,891 ft.
