Drilling Activity Summary

Description

Houston-based Southwestern Energy has completed four horizontal wells drilled from a common pad about seven miles southeast of the town of Clinton, Ark. The wells opened a new Fayetteville shale pool in the northern Arkoma Basin. The Van Buren County wells include #1-35H Parish 10-13 in Section 35-10n-13w, with a preliminary flow rate of 3.19 million cu. ft. of gas per day. It was projected south-southeastward to 8,900 ft. To the west, #2-35H26 Parish 10-13 flow-tested 3.18 million cu. ft. of gas per day from a north-northeast Fayetteville lateral terminating at 9,200 ft. in Section 26. Another 20 ft. to the west, #3-35H Parish 10-13 flowed 2.52 million cu. ft. of gas per day during initial tests of a south-southwest horizontal leg that was projected to bottom in Section 35. Gas flowed at an initial rate of 4.39 million cu. ft. daily at #4-35H26 Parish 10-13 from a north-northwest lateral extending to Section 26. Measured and true vertical depths for these wells were projected at 9,300 ft. and 3,400 ft., respectively. IHS Inc. reported respective shut-in pressures of 503 psi, 798 psi, 728 psi and 1,060 psi for the new wells, but no additional information was available. The pad is two miles north-northwest of the nearest Fayetteville producer, a horizontal Southwestern Energy discovery made in early 2008 that has been incorporated into the greater B-43 Fayetteville producing region; two of four planned wells have been completed at the latter pad.
