Description
Strand Energy has completed a second Sub-Clarksville oil well in the Wood County (RRC Dist. 6), Texas, portion of Crow Field. The #2 Matthews flowed 80 bbl of 37-degree-gravity crude and 20 Mcf of gas per day through perforations at 5,092-98 ft. Flowing tubing pressure was 150 psi on a 10/64- in. choke. The vertical well was drilled to 6,050 ft and is on a 235-acre East Texas lease in Sam Houston Survey, A-271. Within one-half mile to the west, Houston-based Strand completed #1 Matthews in early 2019. The Crow Field well was tested flowing 176 bbl of 32.6-degree-gravity crude and 40 Mcf of gas daily through perforations in the Sub-Clarksville at 5,061-67 ft.
