Description
A Cotton Valley Stampede Field well has been completed by Jackson, Miss.-based Tellus Operating Group. The #1 Tellus-Stampede 5-8 is in southwestern Smith County, Miss., and was directionally drilled to a total depth of 15,929 ft. in Section 5-1n-7e. The initial daily flow rate was 164 bbl. of 47-degree crude, 98,000 cu. ft. of gas and 93 bbl. of water through fracture-treated perforations at 15,182-15,202 ft. On a 24/64-in. choke, flowing casing pressure was 140 psi. Log tops at the well include Selma Chalk at 5,365 ft.; Eutaw at 6,690 ft.; Lower Tuscaloosa at 8,158 ft.; and Cotton Valley at 14,023 ft.
