Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Three Wyoming County Pa., Marcellus Shale discoveries were announced by Oklahoma City-based Chesapeake Operating Inc. The Mehoopany Field wells were drilled from a pad in Section 8, Auburn Center 7.5 Quad, Meshoppen Township. The #2HC Aukema was drilled to a total depth of 18,789 ft, 7,165 ft true vertical, and was tested flowing 68.461 MMcf of gas per day. Production is from perforations at 8,353-18,770 ft after 43-stage fracturing. The #101HC Aukema initially flowed 61.114 MMcf of gas per day. It was drilled to 20,331 ft, 7,370 ft true vertical, and is producing from a fractured zone between 9,090 ft and 20,308 ft. The #1HC Aukema was drilled to 18,782 with a true vertical depth of 7,463 ft. It was tested after 43-stage fracturing flowing 48.262 MMcf of gas per day. Production is from perforations at 8,274-18,763 ft.
