Description
In Columbia County, Ark., Bonanza Creek Energy Resources reported the completion of two Cotton Valley wells as part of Dorcheat Macedonia Field. The #5 Willis pumped oil at an initial daily rate of 32 bbl. with 65,000 cu. ft. of gas and 68 bbl. of water through acid- and fracture-treated perforations at 8,160-8,563 ft. The vertical is in Section 17-18s-21w and was vertically drilled to 8,800 ft. A southern offset, #6 Willis B was drilled to 8,815 ft. and tested flowing 80 bbl. of crude, 228,000 cu. ft. of gas and 132 bbl. of water per day through perforations at 8,430-8,750 ft. Bonanza Creek Energy's headquarters are in Houston.
