Drilling Activity Summary
Description
Two McKenzie County, N.D., Middle Bakken discoveries were announced in Four Bears Field by Houston-based Bruin E&P Operating. The wells were drilled from a pad in Section 8-152n-93w. Bruin’s #152-93-9B-10-13B FB Bonita initially flowed 4,272 bbl of 39° API oil, with 4.562 MMcf of gas and 3,016 bbl of water per day. Drilled to 21,158 ft, the true vertical depth is 10,375 ft. It was tested on a 50/64-inch choke after 50-stage fracturing with a flowing casing pressure of 1,646 psi. Production is from perforations at 11,091-21,031 ft. The offsetting #152-93-9B-10-15B FB Bonita was drilled to 21,015 ft, and a true vertical depth of 10,363 ft. After 54-stage fracturing, the well was tested flowing 3,403 bbl of 39° API oil, 3.489 MMcf of gas and 2,141 bbl of water per day. Gauged on a 48/64-inch choke, the flowing casing pressure was 1,515 psi, and it produces from perforations between 10,920 ft and 20,886 ft.
