Drilling Activity Summary
Description
In Susquehanna County, Pa., Southwestern Energy Co. completed two Marcellus Shale discoveries from a pad in Section 8, Great Bend 7.5 Quad, New Milford Township in Page Lake Field. The #7H Mitchel was drilled to 14,286 ft and the true vertical depth is 6,505 ft. It produced 20.483 MMcf of gas per day with a shut-in casing pressure of 1,841 psi. Production is from a perforated zone at 8,149-14,286 ft. The offsetting #8H Mitchell was drilled to 20,355 ft and it flowed 27.953 MMcf of gas per day from perforations at 7,613-20,282 ft. The venture was drilled to 20,355 and the true vertical depth is 6,402 ft. Tested on an unreported choke size, the shut-in casing pressure was 1,970 psi. Southwestern’s headquarters are in Spring, Texas.
