In Wyoming County Pa., Chesapeake Operating Inc. announced results from two horizontal Marcellus Shale wells in Meshoppen Township. The wells were drilled from a pad in an unspecified field. The #21HC Smurkoski has a total depth of 22,120 ft and a true vertical depth of 7,332 ft. It was tested flowing 58.163 MMcf of gas per day from perforations at 7,769-21,695 ft after 81-stage fracturing. The #22HC Smurkoski has a total depth of 21,727 ft, 7,335 ft true vertical. It produced 18.313 MMcf of gas per day. Production is from a perforated zone at 7,754-21,649 ft. It was tested after 81 stages of fracture stimulation.
