Description

Fossil Petroleum LLC announced results from two vertical Permian Basin wells in Lucky Mag Field in Irion County (RRC Dist. 7C), Texas. The #2 Hamilton Ranch was tested on-pump flowing 36 bbl of 40-degree-graity crude, 36 Mcf of gas and 130 bbl of water per day through acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations ranging from 3,704 ft in Clear Fork to 6,405 ft in Wolfcamp. It was drilled to 6,725 ft on a 2,430-acre Midland Basin lease in Section 1030, HE&WT RR Co Survey, A-765. Within 1.5 miles to the southeast in Section 694 1/2, Freidrich Lambrecht Survey, A-458, #1 Hamilton Ranch pumped 110 bbl of 38-degree-gravity crude, 130 Mcf of gas and 15 bbl of water per day from acid- and fracture-stimulated perforations at 5,150-5,599 ft. The Wolfcamp producer was drilled to 5,740 ft. Recovery between April 2017, and July 2018 is 7.811 Mbbl of oil and 16.9 MMcf of gas. Fossil is based in San Angelo, Texas.
