Description
Denver-based PDC Energy Inc. announced results from a Wattenberg Field discovery in Colorado’s Weld County. Drilled in Section 34-6n-66w, #23C-29-L Beebe initially flowed 359 bbl of 47° API oil, with 597,000 cu ft of gas and 362 bbl of water per day from commingled perforations in Fort Hays (7,800-8,000 ft), Codell (8,050-16,690 ft) and Carlile (13,140-14,690 ft). Drilled to 16,843 ft, 7,026 ft true vertical, it was tested on a 14/64-inch choke with a flowing tubing pressure of 1,525 psi and a flowing casing pressure of 125 psi after 45-stage fracturing.
